The Diamond Valley Veterinary Hospitals group, incorporating the Eltham Central Veterinary Hospital and the Montmorency Veterinary Hospital, began in 1979 when Dr Chris Barton established the Research Veterinary Clinic formerly located in Ingrams Road Research. In 1981, the Practice took its first steps in expanding into the Diamond Valley community by setting up a small branch facility in Montmorency.
